The Burlington County Soil Conservation District is proud to sponsor the 2023 Poster Contest. The 2023 Poster Contest theme is: “One Water.”
The New Jersey Conservation Poster Contest is an annual contest, sponsored by the NJ Department of Agriculture, the NJ Association of Conservation Districts and the Burlington County Soil Conservation District, which aims to promote a better understanding of the connection between natural resources and humans, in a fun and creative way that engages students throughout the county, state and nation. The NJ Conservation 2023 Poster Contest is open to all students from grades 2-12, and is categorized according to grade groups. At the county level, the Burlington County Soil Conservation District will declare a First, Second, and Third Place winner for each grade group and will present an award of $200, $100, and $50. This year the Burlington County Soil Conservation District will be judging for an overall Grand Champion award. The Grand Champion will receive an additional $100! All First Place winning entries from Burlington County will be submitted to the Statewide Competition where they will compete for cash prizes. The First Place prize at the Statewide Competition is $200, Second Place is $100 and Third Place receives $50. Winners from the Statewide Competition move on to the Nationals. Start brainstorming your poster ideas! Research the topic “One Water” and think about the theme, “One Water.” Create a list of why Forests are important to you. What are some ways you influence your local Forest and how that impacts your community? Use available resources to help you.
